eHouse Smart Home integration with Onkyo (Audio / Video) systems
Smart Home eHouse has a built-in protocol control Audio/Video systems (Receivers , DVD , Home Cinema , etc ) equipped with an Ethernet port .
The control protocol is discussed in the post Onkyo audio/video control over Ethernet The control protocol is implemented in eHouse4cServer software for Linux .
The Protocol provides comprehensive hardware control Onkyo Audio/Video (all functions of devices), among other things:
- amplifiers
- tuners
- Receivers
- DVD , BlueRayDVD
- external TVs equipped with RIHD
- external devices RIHD DVD , BlueRayDVD , CD , etc. .
eHouse4cServer software implements eISCP (Onkyo) protocol version 1.27 (18.06.2013 ) .
It allows you to control your Audio/Video Onkyo equipment :
- TX – NR414
- TX – NR515 / 515A

Control commands available depend on the individual model ONKYO and device type and age .
The commands available are ignored by the ONKYO audio/video and are not executed.
For a current list of commands to control the Onkyo equipment and other external devices must run “/usr/local/ehouse/ehouse4cServer –docs”, which generate current documentation in the directory “/usr/local/ehouse/docs/” .
For Onkyo receivers, this documentation is in the file “onkyoamp.htm” .
Current features available to control ONKYO receivers are located in the file : Hardware control Onkyo Audio/Video Ethernet with intelligent home system eHouse .
