Intelligent Boats – Automation for Yachts / Boats
system
Smart Home eHouse version of Ethernet or “eHouse 1” well suited for managing installations:
- sailing boats – Yacht
- boats
- floating pavilions
- large floating objects
For multi-day yachting and sleeping on the boat was pleasant and not annoying especially when several personal crew should apply automation much more comfortable to sailing, sleep and use the boat .
The use of automation on the boat is critical in order to:
- enhance the quality of life on a boat
- reduction of energy consumption of battery
- provide automatic heating in the boats cabin – with the possibility of sleeping
- provide an automatic night light
- measurement of the outside temperature , water , weather conditions , etc..
- increase the safety of the yacht and motor-boat
- providing GSM alarm notification for boats
In fact, one eHouse controller RoomManager ( Smart Home eHouse1 ) / EthernetRoomManager ( Intelligent Ethernet Home eHouse )
Can successfully implement automation of boats and yachts , unless you intend to install security system . When we intend to further include a security , it should be CommManager.
In the case of more “sophisticated” ideas and dedicated software should install eHousecServer (Linux) and I/O modules (I/O) , measuring and write dedicated software integrated with eHouseCServer, eHouse.PRO .
In the second case, the eHouse server system can additionally :
- play and control music playback, videos and other media on the local Audio/Video equipment
- Integrate system with infrared remote control as standard Sony and define individual remote control buttons and their functions ( as events eHouse system and the control of external software linux )
- receive and process weather messages
- advanced control devices over a LAN or other interfaces
- monitor GPS position and send an email or SMS reports (especially in the case of charter yachts )
This will allow users of the boat for relatively little money to enjoy the comfort and feel safe while sailing , sleep as well as at the port after leaving the boat.
Below are solutions , that can be used on boats and sailing yachts:
Programmable control outputs ERM (24 ) / RM (24 ) / CM (77 + Alarm { siren , lighting , monitoring , early warning } ) .
Control outputs can be connected via relays any power consumers on any external voltage:
- LED lighting cabins – several pieces
- LED lighting luggage compartments , swallows , etc.
- bathroom lighting ( kingston )
- water pump control
- dirty water pump control – after washing to remove , flooding
- shut off the engine ignition
- Obligatory night lighting yacht / boat
- lighting parking / boat parking
- controlled (blocked ) socket 230V or 12VDC
- decorative lighting LED / RGB yachts / boats
- night lighting cabin – to enhance the safety of life on a yacht
- control of mechanical ventilation in cabins (based on measurements of humidity , CO , CO2 and temperature )
- heating control based on temperature measurements
- night lighting control based on the measured light level
- control kitchen fan ( galley ) – automatically ( by measuring the temperature of the gas stove )
- the bathroom fan control – automatically when you enter the kingston
Programmable inputs (digital ) ERM (12 ) / RM (12 ) / CM (48 ) can be used , inter alia, to connect switches or sensors (on / off ) :
- turning ordinary lighting and LED , LED – RGB individually or programs
- inclusion of heating programs ( measuring – regulatory )
- connection of digital sensors (on / off ), eg . flooding , CO , CO2 , gas , humidity
- connection of reed confirming the closure of the hatches , manhole , windows , chambers , door
- PIR motion sensor connection – for motion detection and automatic execution of events ( eg . turning on the fan , turning on the lights )
- connection of sensors PIR and microwave (dual ) to the alarm
- connection to the contacts anemometer
Measuring inputs (analog) ERM (8) , RM (8) / cm (16 ) for measuring voltage on the measuring sensors e.g..:
- temperature measurement in the cabins ( for regulation and control of heating )
- the outside temperature
- water temperature
- measuring the level of illumination ( for regulation and control of lighting , eg . night , yacht , etc. )
- measurement of the force of the wind
- measurement of humidity in the cabin
- measurement of battery voltage
The need for specific control elements must be individually think considering the application and the type of boat:
- Unit Type : Cruiser , motor boat , Living pavilion , larger vessels
- number of crew , ” family ” Family sailing
- own boat or charter
- apartment , sleeping , sailing on the boat
- night sailing
- planned length of voyages ( the longer the greater convenience is needed )
